The Soldier and the Spy by TBBM

Private Jesse Daniels was a young soldier, eager to fight for his country and to prove himself as a man. He had the promise and the flair to be the best soldier of his squadron and his hard work and dedication certainly generated admiration among his fellow soldiers, but Private Daniels was also attracting the wrong kind of attention as well.

One night during a tour in Baghdad, Private Daniels had gone out drinking with his fellow soldiers, unaware that a strange man in a trenchcoat had been watching his every move. As the night progressed and Daniels friends all found other ways to amuse themselves, he found himself alone at the bar, about to finish his drink when the man in the trenchcoat approached him. Private Daniels seemed wary of the man who went out of his way to appear friendly. As Daniels tried to make his polite excuses, the man pointed something at his stomach and Jesse knew that he had no choice but to do as the man asked him and not to make a scene. This didn't however stop the young soldier from trying to get out of his soon to be dire situation.

"My fellow soldiers aren't far behind," Jesse protested as he walked out of the man with the man keeping one hand on his shoulder as though he was someone helping his slightly drunk friend to get home to safety.

"Your friends are too busy getting acquainted with the locals that you're not going to be missed for a while," the Spy smiled and it wasn't a friendly one.

"Now don't try anything stupid and this won't end badly for you."

"Fuck you!" Jesse grunted under his breath, but knew it was sensible to do as he was told for the time being. This guy had the upper hand and as well as his own life, he didn't want to endanger any potential civilian either.

In the darkness, Jesse found himself walking down a beach until he was brought to a house. The Spy didn't waste time tying Jesse to a chair and then for some reason, a blindfold was tied over his eyes.

"I've already seen what you look like," Jesse scoffed as he found himself tightly bound to the chair. "Bit late blindfolding me now, asshole!"

"The blindfold isn't for me, you stupid boy," the Spy smirked. "My boss wants to talk to you and only when he feels like it, will you get to see what he looks like."

"Your boss? Who's your boss?" Jesse wondered.

"All in good time, boy," the Spy said, before adding, "First though, I have another errand to run, so you're gonna sit there and be quiet or else."

"Or else, what?" Jesse protested. "You clearly need me alive if your 'boss' has to talk to me."

"I don't need to hear you though," the Spy retorted and before Jesse could get another word in, a yellow rag was tied over his mouth a little too quickly. As Jesse groaned with the gag on, another cloth, this one orange was also tied over his mouth before duct tape was placed over both cloths in order to keep the young soldier securely gagged and quiet.

"There, that you should keep you quiet for the time being," the Spy smiled, happy with his work. "When I come back, then the fun will really begin, Private Daniels. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

"Mmmph," was all that Jesse could do as the Spy left the room. He was blindfolded, he was bound and he was tightly gagged and this guy had a glint in his eye that suggested a world of hurt if Jesse couldn't give his boss the answers to whatever questions he had. Jesse didn't know how much time he had left until this guy came back with his boss but he knew he needed to get out of there and fast. He had been good at getting out of knots. It was time to put that skill to the test for his own sake.
