Wolfric was the best damn lawyer in five whole states. He was handsome, he was clever and he had a way of making juries eat out of the palm of his hands. If you had him as a lawyer, you'd literally get away with anything. If he was your opposition's lawyer, you were doomed.

 

A local mob don wanted to employ Wolfric in a dispute with a rival don over a piece of land that both of them had sought after. Wolfric had gone with the other mob don and by doing that, he had cemented his own doom.

 

Not that Wolfroc had seen it that way. He had simply picked the other don because the latter offered him more money. Wolfric liked the expensive lifestyle his job could afford him and while he viewed both dons as scumbags, only one of them was paying him higher than the other was willing to do.

 

The other don was worried now. He knew that Wolfric was too good at his job and made himself into a very public. On the day of the court case itself, it was too late to simply get rid of the handsome lawyer. However, if that lawyer happened to be detained and the other don was XXXX to use a less sick lawyer, then there was a chance the case would go in his favour.

 

The first don called upon his most trustworthy of henchmen to take care of Wolfric while he would feign a panic attack. With the first don feigning the panic attack while Wolfric had to take a call, it did not take long for the henchmen to do what they had been tasked to do.

 

Wolfric didn't have enough time to defend himself before he was set upon by the two henchmen and dragged into an empty room in the courtroom that no one used and would be far away from the actual courtroom itself.

 

Tackled to the ground, it didn't take the henchmen any length of time to get Wolfric tied tied up and gagged as the handsome lawyer tried to fend off his attackers to no avail. The henchmen explain that their don was disappointed that Wolfric did not take his reasonable offer and that he cannot help the second don to win.

 

They also told Wolfric as he lay helpless on the floor, thrashing against his bindings that he should be grateful that the first don chose not to take him out on a more permanent basis and that next time when an offer is made to him, Wolfric should accept it with no question.

 

Wolfric grunted into his gag as the henchmen took his expensive shoes, locked the door behind them and left him alone to call for help. Help did not come until several hours later when a janitor had spotted Wolfric and untied him.

Wolfric was suitably embarrassed in the way he had been found by the janitor and noticed that there were two missed calls on his phone, both of which filled him with dread when he realised who they were from.

 

The first missed call was the second don, vowing revenge on the hunky lawyer for letting him down and humiliating him

in the eyes of the court and his number one enemy.

 

The last one was from the first don, congratulating Wolfric on staying out of his way and Wolfric stepped out the courtroom and into the street, a car had pulled up. It was the henchmen who had tied him up earlier.

Wolfric was to attend a meeting with the first don and with something pointed at his chest, it was meeting that could determine his fate forever.
